I agree, this is typically supported in other layout applications by allowing to highlight certain object (nets, components, etc) based on either picking the object manually or supplying a pattern to match against reference designator or netnames. This is a very useful feature for reviewing layouts when you want to highlight sensitive signals for example, it's also used during to the you can easily see what's what. -- Daniel Nilsson
