Hi,

IT security at work found I was using Linux to host a Geeklog documentation server and with great chagrin, I had to switch it off. NO LINUX ALLOWED.

So I'm toying with what I could do..

I can think of two options, I install Geeklog on a Sun Workstation, that I know has apache and I have access to that, I have no root access and as yet I've not identified if they have PHP or not.. (this all happened suddenly when my bosses boss escorted me to the IT Security managers office) Or I install Cygwin on my laptop and try and get it running there.

I kind of like having all the power so I thought Cygwin may be the way to go.. I'm not sure how long I will be allowed access to the Solaris Workstation, could be forever, could end anytime.

From your experiences, what would you recommend.. Or can you think of another option ?

I'm sorry for this strange post but I'm going to be lost without my Geeklog at work..

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.. Changing contracts is not an option at the moment !

Jerry
