Hi,

I wrote a simple script for batch conversion of images, which is primarily
inteded for use with Geeqie. I'd welcome some feedbeck if I use ufraw-batch
as intended.

The script can be found in the svn [1] or in Geeqie 1.0 beta2 release [2].

Geeqie uses XMP metadata extensively. Since there is no XMP support in ufraw,
the scripts contains some workarounds which are relatively ugly. IMHO it is
time to look again at the xmp patch that I sent some time ago, because native
XMP support in ufraw would work much better.

There are several levels possible:
1. copy xmp data like comment or keywords from sidecars or dng files to output
image
2. override exif values from raw file (like orientation) with values from the
XMP sidecar before processing
3. save ufraw configuration in xmp

Level 3 is a bit controversal, but I don't see any problems with implementing
1 and 2.

Vladimir
