Hi, I also like the idea about sorting files according to Exif-date. This behaviour seemed to be implemented in the pan-view but not in the main browser view. I created a little patch to "correct" this issue. ;) This patch is against geeqie-1.0 and can be found at:
http://www.iki.fi/juuso.rasanen/exif-time.patch Or the whole modified source tree is also available: http://www.iki.fi/juuso.rasanen/geeqie-1.0-exif-time.tar.gz This satisfies my own needs, although the exif-date reading could be probably somehow optimised(?).. now the GUI becomes unresponsive for few seconds if there are a lot of pictures in the directory... BTW, this patch includes also another little change, within the detection of the "sidecar-files". The sidecar extensions are now matched against everything that becomes after the first dot (instead of last, as originally) in the file names. This way e.g. the following file names can be recognised as the "same" image: dsc_9613.b.jpg dsc_9613.jpg dsc_9613.nef Cheers, Juuso Räsänen PS. Thanks for all the good work done with Geeqie - I like it! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net Dev2Dev email is sponsored by: Show off your parallel programming skills.
