Hi All, I don't have anything to add regarding a solution, I just wanted to put my hand up since this issue is (still) affecting me too.
The files in question are on a mounted samba share, owned by root, and by a custom group. I'm part of that group. The mounted share offers +rwx permissions to the group, and no access is granted for non-group users. I can use geeqie to view, and delete files. But if I try to move/copy files I get an error (even though the files DOES appear in the new location). I also get an error if I try to use the safe delete function within geeqie.
