Saya tanya teman dari gereja Protestan, berapa gaji pendetanya di sini
(Belanda).
Teman bilang, ya dihargai sama besar dengan orang2 lulusan universitas.
Tetapi majelisnya milih 2 pendeta, masing2 kerja 3.5 hari dalam seminggu,
dan
bukan satu pendeta untuk 7 hari melayani umat.
Dengan begitu kalau satu pendeta sakit, masih ada satu pendeta lain yang
dinas.
Heran saya, gereja Protestan Indonesia di Belanda kok penuh, dan dapat
menggaji
pendetanya.
Sedangkan 3 gereja katolik dekat kami, terpaksa fusi. Begitupun tidak penuh
di hari
Minggu biasa. Penuhnya  pada hari Natal dan Paskah.
