sorry for being unclear (and too promising) the suggestion about liba52 was really only about the compilation issue. i'm currently trying to find out what is causing the crash (which i can reproduce on puredyne and other ubuntu systems) i'll report back when i found a solution on that... fgamsdr IOhannes
