These days , I am running some applications of CPU SPEC2006 on GEM5 to
measure the performance of a specified computer architecture. But the apps runs
so slow , I want do some sampling simulation in GEM5 , but there seems no
material about it. And Then , I changed another way : taking checkpoints for
app ( for example bzip2/ mcf , etc ) , but I don't know how can I take
checkpoints every N instructions from the Mst Instructions. I'll really
appreciate if you tell me how to sampling simulation and checkpoints every N
instructions on GEM5.
