Hi Everyone,

I¹m happy to announce that we have now resolved the issues that forced us
to revert the gem5 power framework earlier in April. See RB3361-3365 for
the original patch series. The updated framework, including fixes for the
issues in the stat system that were exposed by the original patch series,
was pushed earlier today.

It¹s possible to use the power framework today. However, it doesn¹t come
with power models. That¹s left as a exercise to the ambitious researcher.
The simplest way to do so today is to use the MathExprPowerModel helper
class that lets you specify an equation that derives power from stats in
an object.

I¹m sorry that this merge ended up taking longer and being more
complicated than expected.
