There is no real scheduler in SE mode, so you probably want to use FS. The host system doesn't matter as far as what ISA you want to use. Our alpha support is more mature than our x86 support so it might be a better choice, but you might want to choose x86 if that's what the software you want to run needs or if you're not comfortable setting up an Alpha system.
