Hi Andreas,
Thank you for the answer,
I will look into the client/server set up and I will get my answer, but (since
I am impatient) could you tell me if it will be possible to set up a couple of
Gem5 simulations, each from within a virtual box, and connect them together? if
yes, where else in Gem5 should I look into?
Thanks again,
waheed

Hi Waheed,
There is no virtualized Ethernet, so unfortunately you are “trapped” in the
simulator. If you want to simulate networked systems, you can set up a
two-system
config with Ethernet in between. This is useful to evaluate server/client
setups.

Subject: [gem5-users] Bring up network
Hi All,
I have set up a FS simulation on android on ARM and Now I want to ping some
network address or internet site. How can i do that?
on m5term, when I ping (say www.yahoo.com)
I get : ping: bad address 'www.yahoo.com'
ifconfig returns only lo:
and by the way, how can I stop pinging 127.0.0.1 :)
it is not stopping when I press ctrl-c
even if I close the terminal or kill the m5term process and bring m5term back
on, the ping continues.
thank you
Waheed
