Hi Hao,
Thanks for the swift response. No rush with the code, I was mostly curious as
to what it looked like (and also what benefits/drawbacks it gives you). When
you get some time it would be great to see the patch. If you're basing
publications on this it would also be a great favour to the academic community,
being able to see exactly what has been done.
I am intrigued by your statement that you are using "the model in ruby". Did
you do actually connect SimpleDRAM in Ruby (splitting the coherence part and
the conventional Ruby memory controller part), or did you hack the two together
:-)?
In any case, good luck with the MICRO deadline.
Andreas

Subject: Re: [gem5-users] SimpleDRAM accuracy
Hi Andreas,
I guess I don't have time for this in 2 months to apply it to the updated
version and figure out how hg system works, since MICRO is coming and I will go
home after MICRO.
I can send my changes to you first if you want to see it, basically I only
modify the SimpleDRAM.py and simple_dram.hh/cc files.
I've been using the model in ruby for other works for over a year; I just merge
this for the classic model since I plan to move to ARM ISA for future work, but
it is not tested with too many applications.
Thank you.
Hao
