Hi all, I have a very basic queston about restoring from a checkpoint. In the document "Running Parsec 2.1 with m5" it says that to restore from a checkpoint, we use a command like this: ./build/ALPHA_FS/m5.opt ./configs/example/fs.py --detailed --caches --l2cache --checkpoint-restore=1 -n $numProcs
This command does not involve the runscript (.rcS script) we use to take the checkpoint. I am taking the checkpoint upon entry to ROI (during benchmark execution). How does the simulator know which benchmark binary to run with which options/inputs etc. in this case? Is it stored somehow in the checkpoint directory? It may be a very simple question, but I want to be sure that I am not doing something meaningless. Best, Fulya
