I am new comer in gem5. My project needs me to modify ISA for simulator. I found on the website http://www.m5sim.org/Defining_ISAs_%28as_of_M5_2.0_beta_3%29 which is about defining ISAs. There are several questions about this article. A. What's this command "Perl -pe s/Mips/My/g ????" mean? I don't know Perl and don't understand "????". B. Should I use M5 as same as gem5? Should I use one of them or both? C. If I don't need to use M5, how can I build my own ISA for using? Thank everyone Chuan
