AMD Research is seeking student interns interested in extending and enhancing gem5 for projects focusing on the detailed design of high-performance network interfaces. We are looking for candidates who have hands-on experience with gem5, as well as one or more of the following:
- I/O device models, especially for network devices - Familiarity with HPC messaging software stacks, such as MPI - Hardware virtualization technology and interfaces, such as kvm - Parallel discrete event simulation We are currently seeking applicants for Spring 2014 (starting in January). We expect to have openings for Summer 2014 as well. The preferred location is Austin, TX. Locating in Sunnyvale, CA or Bellevue, WA would be considered if desired by the candidate.
