Thanks for the reply. I created a module that interfaces two buses, simply 
receives packets from a bus (connected above to l2 cache) , extract the 
senderState field, set the downstreampending, inservice and markPending fields 
acordingly and sends it to shared l3 cache below. However, when response 
reaches the l2 cache, i get segmentation fault at this point.
    std::memcpy(blk->data, pkt->getPtr<uint8_t>(), 
Is it because I corrupted the packet as it was sent from the cache above(l2) to 
cache below(l3).
