Hello,
I am using FS mode running parallel benchmarks, not using SMT (don't think
it even works). I am interested in determining every time a processors
starts executing a NEW thread, for example a parsec parallel pipeline
benchmarks, a new thread will execute on a proccessor during the initial
time of exection , as well as during the various pipeline stages, so maybe
5 threads will be executed on one processors throughout execution. Is there
any way I can tell that a new thread has started to execute on a processors?
Can I find this information within a proccesor module? What about at cache
modules (see if proccessor X has a new thread)?

Also, lets say that a jump or branch has occured is this instruction
piggybaccked into memory request like the pc address, or will I have to add
this in, would this be difficult?

Thanks,
EF
