i have never seen any of the popup players working
tried it for months, as did others last year and it simply would not work

There were too many variables stopping the player from working
For example:
If using mp3Pro
Java Blockers
Pop up blockers
Unusupported SAFARI browsers
Plugins for FIREFOX
and the list goes on im sure.

I would think that if the list is 1st by category of user, wouldnt it make
more sence to list the stations using direct shoutcast links at TOP?

because if a visitor has any of these variables in play on their end and
wantto listen to a station, the first in the list are the ones they more
likely wont be able to listen to anyway.

Stations are actually listed by number of listeners.
AudioRealm gives preference to stations according to the listen link
specified in the following order:
1) AudioRealm popup player
2) Custom link
3) No listen link

To change your player preference in spacialnet:
1) Log in at http://www.spacialnet.com
2) In the left navigation click on "My Stations"
3) Click on "Listen Link Method" in the under "Station Administration"
4) Choose your listen link method and click on "Accept"

Note this information is in your client section.
