Personally I consider all words with the same "tasrif" to be equivalent and consistent with each other, no matter what the gender or the state of definition (i.e. definite vs. indifinite or in Arabic nakirah vs. ma3rifah). Linguistically speaking, when speaking about a language, the female is more more approporiate (Arabiya). However, when talking about text written in a certain language, you use the male (Arabi). So I'm of the opinion that we should be able to use either. Whichever is more appropriate in the current context and, just as importantly, whichever makes the sentence prettier. Abdulaziz,
