Although some of the Nafees fonts from CRULP have restrictive licenses, but since "Nafees Web Naskh" was meant for the web, it has a liberal license in terms of usage and distribution. The license is custom, not any of the usual ones. Since the CRULP site is down, I can't get the exact statement. But if there is any issue, we can get a clarification from Dr. Sarmad Hussain of CRULP.

Regarding the Urdu translation, I think that guys from www.urduweb.org will be interested in taking this up. If you can give a ball park estimate of the translation work required (say, number of sentences), I can ask for volunteers on the urduweb forum.
