I read the most curious review of Composer just a few weeks ago. I found it linked off LinuxToday.com, posted at mozillaquest. I've heard Mozilla described as an "operating platform" and as a "work environment"...well, one of these same Fan-zillas introduced Composer in this article as "Composer: The Netscape & Mozilla Graphical HTML Editor & Word Processor". "Word Processor". That's something I never seriously considered before, but it makes you ask the question "why the heck not?" It's a legitimate question why we don't even suggest that people compose fontsy "documents" in a simple HTML editor like this. Lessee... tables, colors, fonts, hyperlinks, images. It's also the default HTML-email editor for NS/Moz, much like MS Word can be selected as the default more-artsy-than-fartsy email editor for Outlook. That right there shows that SOMEBODY expected Composer to be a sort of workhorse document engine. If it can be made to save in XML instead of HTML, it'll catch the latest big wave in "standards", too. http://linuxtoday.com/news_story.php3?ltsn=2001-02-25-015-04-OP-SW -j Dustin Puryear wrote: <em>> <em>> Gsibbery McGillicuddy wrote: <em>> > <em>> > I was surprised when I first used it as well.
