I don't think the RH7.1 CD is part of the problem. Sounds like there is some problem with your mount points or something. Can you take a look at the other consoles (Alt-F2 or Alt-F3 or Alt-F4) and look for mount point/hardware error messages? Give us some more info on the exact point during the install that Anaconda fails. That will help us troubleshoot the problem. When you start Disk Druid, I believe you are given the choice of devices to configure. You can always use fdisk after Linux is installed. Is your BIOS configured to see the 2nd drive? You could also try lugging (no pun intended) your machine to the next BRLUG meeting. Be sure to bring a power strip and possibly an extension power cable.
