When the error is reported, the system shuts itself down faster than I can respond. I was thinking that if a solution doesn't show up sooner, the box will come with me Monday. Presume I should bring the full system. I'm not sure when the install switches over from the boot floppy to the CD. The BIOS sees the second HD on boot.
