I am trying to upgrade an RPM using the rpm command on a RH6.2 system.
We are still using rpm-3.0.4-0.48. The RPM is from Red Hat's website,
and labeled as a RH6.2 download. When I try to install the RPM I get the
following:
# rpm -Uhv xntp3-5.93-15.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1 is needed by xntp3-5.93-15
What is this? I didn't see any mention of it in the manpages, and
frankly haven't seen it before. Any ideas? I would like to apply this
RPM soon, so any help is appreciated.
