One thing that has bugged me for a while is that most of my fonts render horribly while browsing the web using my mandrake box.
I understand this is mostly due to web sites being designed with win fonts in mind ( or so, I once read on a list apart - (or so I remember almost). There is an article on designing sites for maximim readability on all platforms regardless of >V.4 browser ) and these fonts are designed at different densities per unit of measure than linux/X fonts, thus 'screwing the viewing'. I find the viewing is even 'pooched' with True-Type fonts. Have y'all had any luck with 'Normalizing' font renderage in Konquerer, Mozilla or Netscab in Linux? Just Curious... ================================================ BRLUG - The Baton Rouge Linux User Group Visit http://www.brlug.net for more information.
