Retro is all the rage, chief. :)

Being able to surf the web from a console is cool,
because it can be done from most any machine with a
bare minimum of hardware.

Once upon a time, in the dark, dim past, all Internet
users used console apps. There was Lynx
(http://www.delorie.com/web/lynxview.html) and Gopher
and Archie. There was telnet and ftp. Everyone was
happy and innocent. That was the Golden Age, before
the coming of Mosaic.

You probably don't think NetHack
(http://www.nethack.org), Rogue
(http://www.hexatron.com/rogue/), or Angband
(http://thangorodrim.angband.org/) is cool either.

<old_coot>Eh, sonny, back in my day, we didn't have no
fancy graphics and 3D accelerators. We had to IMAGINE
what the pictures looked like...</old_coot>
