Yeah, red carpet is pretty nice, but I prefer Suse's yast2 online
update.  Yast2 was a nice icon on my screen, plus it was in my path, so
I could just type in yast2 in the terminal.  Now with ximian, the icon
is gone, and it's not in my path anymore.  It's not a problem, I'm a big
boy and I just put yast2 in my path again.  Plus red carpet wanted me to
install drivers for my video card that were a whole 6 months older than
the ones I already have.  And it detected my proper drivers, I guess it
just thought the older ones were better or more stable, but I like mine
just like they are.

My opinion, would be that Red Carpet would be great for a newbie, if of
course they used it from day one.
