I am considering changing our schedule from monthly to quarterly advanced meetings. I do not feel that we currently have enough member support to warrant monthly meetings any more. In general we do have a good turn out (the February meeting was something of a bust however), but at this time we just don't have enough volunteers willing to offer time. That is an issue as both John H. and I work full-time and can only devote so many hours a month to BRLUG. I totally understand that everyone is in the same situation; I am only offering a reason here.
In addition, I may consider a change in venue or, even more probable, a change in the day of the week we meet. Thoughts? Currently, John is in charge of the newbie meetings. Depending on how he feels those meetings are turning out we may adjust that schedule as well. However, I will leave that mostly up to John. Anyway, after a bit of public debate any changes will most likely take effect beginning this month.
