EXACTLY!! This would be very cool and would make a great project. I find
most newbie problems with Linux stems from that the install confuses them. I
know I imagined all kinds of horrors happening to my box the first time I
installed Linux on it, when the fact was that I was just fearing the
unknown.

If newbies could see what was happening during an install while a
knowledgeble person described in common terms what was going on, that would
help newbies get through the install process, IMHO.

I really would like to see this happen. Has it been done before? Is anybody
interested in working on something like this?
