An alternative would be to install linux in a VMware window, and take
screen shots of that window.

If newbies could see what was happening during an install while a
knowledgeble person described in common terms what was going on, that would
help newbies get through the install process, IMHO.
I really would like to see this happen. Has it been done before? Is anybody
interested in working on something like this?
