Here is a good tutorial for Linux newbies written by
Daniel Robbins, head of the Gentoo Linux
(http://www.gentoo.org ) project.

It is intended to introduce you to the basics of
Linux, and there are 3 other tutorials that
progressively introduce you to advanced features of
Linux.

The tutorials are intended to prepare you for the
Linux Professional Institute's Linux 101 Exam. I am
planning to take this exam soon.

You will have to register to take this tutorial, but I
have registered with IBM a long time ago and specified
not to give away my personal info. They kept their
promise and are very reputible.
