WindowMaker. KDE is purty, and Ximian is versatile; I'll give them that.
But I could run KDE 1.x and Gnome 1.2 on a P200, using keyboard shortcuts
or a mouse, and they just FLEW. They barely run anymore on my 500 MHz
desktop with 128 MB of RAM and a 64 MB vid card. Honestly, I'd probably
use Gnome 1.2 again, given my druthers and the sheer performance of the
old engine. Right now, I've got WindowMaker back up on my 266 laptop and
my 500 desktop, and I love it. Been running wmaker for a while now.
