We will be having our next meeting on 7/15/02 at 6pm
until about 8pm at the new location for the CCCC,
which is at the corner of Sharp Lane and Red Oak
Drive.

The CCCC website has the address and a map to the new
office: http://www.clickers.org/map.htm

If you having problems installing Linux, bring your PC
and we will help you to install it. If you have
installed Linux and would like some help learning how
to use it, feel free to bring your PC as well. Before
you bring your PC to install Linux, please read the
preparation details at the meeting announcement at:
http://www.brlug.net/event.php3?id=62 .

Thanks to Ed Richards, we are also going to try
installing Phat Linux, which installs in your Windows
drive, so no hard disk partitioning is needed!! This
is a good way to try out Linux without a lot of work.
I will also have a few DemoLinux CDs available, which
is a bootable CD that runs Linux from your CDROM drive
only without making any changes to your hard drive!

Also, if you need any Linux CDs, please let me know
which ones via this list and bring some blank CDs to
the meeting. Thanks to Bill DePierri, we have 5 copies
of the Mandrake 8.2 CDs to give away!

Note to more experienced Linux users: If you are able
and willing to help out budding Linux enthusiasts,
your help is sorely needed! Please help the Linux
advocacy movement by coming to the meeting and helping
newbies with Linux problems.

Hope to see you there!

John Hebert
