Cap'n Buck, 

ELX auto detected my network card, got the proper IP from my router (I am
using cable), and took me right to the Internet. Did you tell it to us DHCP
and to automatically get the IP, etc? If you are connecting directly to your
DSL modem and it has a static IP, you may have to plug those numbers
directly into the network card configuration. As far as Netscape is
concerned, it seems to work just like IE does and that goes equally for
Mozilla, Galeon, and the others that I have tried. 

Mat, evolution comes already installed with ELX, Lycoris, Mandrake, etc.
