There are several documents at the Linux Documentation Project: www.tldp.org
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Cable-Modem/index.html http://www.tldp.org/guides.html The Linux Cookbook: Tips and Techniques for Everyday Use The Linux System Administrators' Guide Securing and Optimizing Linux Red Hat Edition - A Hands on Guide Please note that I use RedHat but these documents should get you going. Cable modems should not be that difficult to install. Also, you install Netscape E-mail by selecting: "Edit>Mail&Newsgroup Settings> Add account" and filling in your ISP information. Not that hard really. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cap'n Buck" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 29, 2002 10:56 AM Subject: [brlug-general] Guidance > Hi All, > > Now that my wife has sufficently recoverd from her surgery, I am starting to > get back to LINUX. > > I installed ELX and all went smoothly.
