Being a Ham, I'm attempting to get my hands on a primestar dish and use my knowledge of antennas to make my own 2.4ghz directional antenna. My mom has a cable modem and only lives about 2 miles (in a straight line) away. The thing that is going to kill my singal is going to be that I can't see her house from mine, and the trees are going eat that signal alive. :(
