Thanks for the feedback on LibraNet. I played with it
on Sunday a bit myself and would have to agree with
you that it is not for newbies, though I think it is a
very nice improvement to the Debian distro.

Concerning the dual boot question you ask: LibraNet's
install program did not detect that Mandrake was
there, so I assume it wrote over it. You can install
many different Linux distros on a hard drive, as long
as they have their separate partitions. You could
actually have one /boot partition and put the various
kernels that each distro creates in there. I know it
sounds kinda complex but it is easier than you think.

Just wanted you to know that the Linux kernel can be
thought of as being _separate_ from the distribution.
The kernel is what provides the interface between the
software and the hardware. You can use a number of
tools to control how/which Linux kernel boots such as
LILO or Grub. I like Grub because it has a lot more
functionality than LILO.
