:) Don't badmouth Gentoo for a slow install/compile. You get plenty of warning about that in the install docs beforehand. If you want a faster install, use the precompiled tarball. I do have lots of respect and admiration for *BSD though. I have yet to play with FreeBSD, but you are making me interested in trying it out. I'm getting pretty close to blowing away my WinXP partitions, as BSOD is happening once a week, so I'll have lots of drive space available then.
