:-)  Don't worry, I have a 2000 partition on my laptop too... Just
because I have to be able to reconcile my purchase card once a month at
Caltech and the software only runs on winblows....

I will never step over to the dark side and run XP though.  XP is by far
the worst I have seen due to the EULA and the fact that if you upgrade
your computer it will not boot again.  I have actually seen this happen
and it cost the guy many, many greenbacks.  Hourly charges for
reinstalling all of his software.  Backup tapes became useless at that
point except for the "data." Since there is a key or checksum or
something somewhere that XP stores when it takes a snapshot of the
hardware, when the key does not work, XP does not boot.  Change too many
components, the key won't work.

A friend actually had this happen before just by changing a network
card.... He had to reinstall everything.
