I don't know how it works at LSU, but at SLU, you have to be a member and
pay dues to go to meetings.  It's only 5 bucks a month though, and you get
server space and a shell account on cs.selu.edu, pretty good deal.  Plus at
SLU, we have free pizza and cold drinks every meeting, quite nice for a poor
college student.
