I would like to apologize for not notifying the registered CCCC members
about postponing the Linux SIG meeting scheduled for March 17, 2003 to
March 24, 2003.

I accept full responsibility for this, as it was my fault that I did not
check the Event Calendar to see who was registered. To tell you the
truth, I have never checked this calendar or used it, and when I
attempted to access the CCCC Event Calendar after the meeting to email
an apology to those registered individuals, the event was removed.

I did send out an email at 3:30pm on Monday to the
[EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [email protected]
mailing lists stating that I was postponing the meeting, but obviously
that did not reach a number of people in time.

In light of my lack of suitable performance as Linux SIG leader, and due
to my desire to work on other projects at this point in my life, I am
resigning as leader of the Linux SIG. I am obviously not capable of
leading the Linux SIG and providing the organizational functions
necessary to make the Linux SIG successful.

However, I will perform some tasks that I've accepted already:
- Hosting the CCCC Linux SIG/BRLUG Newbies meeting on 3/24/03 at 6pm.
- Building some Smoothwall based firewall boxes for the CCCC Garage Sale.
- Devoting more time to the BRLUG FOSSILE project and actually make
progress there.

I will continue to act as the BRLUG CD Librarian and will burn CDs of
free and open source software for those who request it in return for
blanks. I will also continue to subscribe to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
[EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing lists and will help any Linux
beginners however I can.

If there is anyone who wishes to take over whatever duties I had as the
CCCC Linux SIG and BRLUG Newbies leader/group coordinator/chief yahoo,
please let me know.

Again, I sincerly apologize to those people who drove out to the meeting
Monday night.

PS: Is there any other mailing list I should be sending this to?
