I had almost the same question when I was trying to install Debian on my =
old P200MMX box. My problem was it's so old the Bios didn't even have =
an option to boot from CD, just floppy or HD. It wasn't a problem =
installing Red Hat or Mandrake, because they both offer floppy images =
that recognize the CD and start the installation for you. The only =
options for debian I found were CD or network install, and it didn't =
identify my network connection properly and didn't offer any setup =
options so I could configure it manually. I posted my question on a =

I don't know if this will work, because I just gave up on debian =
eventually and went with Mandrake.
