Putting most electronic equipment in a house attic is a big no no... 1) attic temps can easily get >110 degrees (some estimates are 150-160 degrees if unvented, I've recorded 115 in ours on a 94 degree sunny day - we have a full length ridge vent, medium colored shingles and enough soffet vents to look like swiss cheese) 2) an attic is one of, and probably is, the dustiest room in the house 3) noise travels to every room in the house from an attic #1 is a problem in itself. If the equipment has a cooling fan and you couple #2 and #3: an out of balance fan could really be a pain at night, not to mention the damage done when the fan finally stops spinning. This is just my opinion... John: If I remember the layout of your house, you could probably achieve pretty much the same effect by putting the wap on a high shelf in your living room (the ceiling peak in there is what - about 11 or 12 ft?).
