Subject:
Support docs posted in MS Windows Format.

Complant:
Samba is a cross-platform protocol, and the
documentation should be cross-platform.

Document in question:
http://us1.samba.org/samba/ftp/specs/smb-lm21.doc

Call me a purist, but is there a really good reason
for posting:
http://us1.samba.org/samba/ftp/specs/smb-lm21.doc
as an MS Word doc, and not an RTF format?

Netcraft says your site is running Linux. Is there
any specific reason you wanted your documentation to
be incompatible?

RTF is a widely accepted format. Was it a mistake?

Regardless, please post your documentation in
universally accepted formats. RTF is great. PDF is
less so. MS Word Doc is just, well, not bright.

What were you thinking? I would love to recommend
your product, but having the documentation in a
proprietary format doesn't help your case. I am sure
you can see my point.

Regards,

Doug Riddle
