You are in luck: http://www.sc-systems.com/products/adaptors/ZThinCable.htm

Look towards the bottom of the page for a terminal app and some other neat
stuff (barcode reader software, etc.).

Don't get the Sharp serial cable. It blocks access to the keyboard and power
port.

Subject: [brlug-general] Zaurus question

Has anyone found a way of hooking up a serial connection with a Zaurus
without the cradle?
My laptop is heavy, as laptops go, and I would like to use a pda with a
built-in querty keyboard to plug into the console ports on my Cisco
routers
and switches to do on the fly configurations. If I can run a simple
terminal program on the Zaurus (I'm certain that I can) AND establish a
serial connection with the Zaurus handheld sans the cradle ( I'm not
certain about this) then I will be purchasing one of these sweet devices
in
the very near future. Looked up the 5600 on several websites and found
info on nearly everything EXCEPT this detail. I was hoping that someone
in
our group may already have one of these devices and possibly has already

used it in the manner or may have a lot of insight into the matter.
any takers?
Cleve
