I have been speaking with Freddie Manint, the Court Justice Information Systems Director of the Louisiana Nineteenth Judicial District Court. You may have read in Newsforge and other sites that Freddie has been spearheading the use of Linux in the Louisiana court system. Freddie will be speaking to us about what systems he is moving to Linux, why he is moving to Linux (hint: security), and where the court system is headed. Once I have confirmed the presentation I will also try to get SBLUG, NOLUG, and Lafix involved. This should be an interesting meeting!
