If you already have GroupWise, then why not use that? Or do you want 
something to expose to the Internet as a front-end?

Anyway, Postfix is a mailer, just like sendmail or qmail. Like qmail though 
Postfix is considered secure, and vulnerabilities are the rare exception. 
You can drive Postfix using the local passwd database, an SQL database, 
LDAP, or whatever tickles your fancy. I use MySQL at a client site and it 
hums along.
