No further suffering under Windoze for me. Between a knoppix, a suse
live CD and my laptop, Free software bliss can be had anywhere. I'm
sending this mail from Balsa, ssh xforwarded from my laptop to a PIII
running Knoppix 3.2. The laptop is a little sluggish, as is Knoppix,
but it works and provides both a very nice display, configured email
with all my address books, data storage and a means of easily moving
things back and forth. Knoppix correctly identified and configured
everything, sound, wireless network, video display and even a silly
wheel mouse. Nice nice stuff.
