It might have something to do with their "fake authentication" for ssh forwarded X connections. This made it so that I could log into other "normal" systems and foward GUI off them to the desktop owned by the "knoppix" user. What's driving this now anyway? What GUI thing does anyone want to run as root when partimage seems to do the partition saving well from a comand line?
