I had read that when SCO started their antics, Microsoft wanted to get "legal" with SCO for the use of Unix IP in their products. The licensing fees they paid to SCO were, to put it lightly, substantial (10's of millions?). Not a direct investment, but you can bet SCO is paying their lawyers with it. I remember reading this...but don't remember where. ray
